Passionately called the “Art Deco” Series, Chevrolet produced this series of light and heavy duty Pick Ups from 1939 through mid-1947 with a considerable halt to production during the war years. They were succeeded by the “Advance Design” series in 1947.
This is a 1940 model and an outstandingly beautiful truck. The truck has been fully restored and only ran about 2000 miles since the restoration.
Finished in the desirable and original Brewster green with black fenders, this Pick Up was restored to stock configuration except for the engine and transmission. It runs an upgraded and completely rebuilt 235cui in-line 6Cyl Engine coupled to a modern T-5 speed transmission. This improves drivability in modern traffic immensely. The truck easily cruises at highway speeds all day, while retaining its classic visual appearance.
The truck had no rust problems and is all original steel with no replacement body parts. A detailed logbook of the prior owner documents all aspects of the restoration.
