Very original and unmolested Ford F-1 Five Star Cab Pick Up.
Design of the F-Series truck changed tremendously from 1950 to 1954. From 1948 to 1950, the grill was a series of horizontal bars and the headlights were set into the fenders. For 1951 and 1952, the headlights were connected by a wide aerodynamic cross piece with three similarly aerodynamic supports. The rear window was wider in these later trucks and the dashboard was redesigned. This new cab was called the "Five-Star Cab". Among fans and collectors, these trucks, only produced for 2 years, are the best looking F-series trucks.
This truck is a unique find, as it is all original and for the most part un-restored. It received an attractive two tone paint job many years ago along with some light restoration to the cab (seats, door panels and headliner were done), but still is mainly an original truck with no modern modifications.
This Pick Up is remarkably rust-free and has a beautiful body with great shut lines and gaps and aside from the tailgate, is completely dent-free and straight. All gauges and electrical components work and the truck runs and drives great. It has the original non synchronized 4 speed on the floor with a granny first gear.
